Pumps for acids are commonly made of thermoplastics. Polypropylene, PVC and ethylene give great resistances at low costs.
More expensive plastics such as Teflon/Viton and PVDF yield the best resistance to any other known material on earth for strong oxidising acids like Nitric >60%, HCL, Sulfuric, Chlorine Dioxide.
